FHNA General Meeting at the Forest Hills Recreation
Center ( 724 W. 109th Street).
1. GREEN because we are active in preserving and
maintaining our environment.
2. GREEN because we have obtained our
"first-ever Babe Zaharias Day" Proclamation for the entire
city of Tampa!!!
3. GREEN because we are having our meeting
around ST. PATRICK'S DAY.
4. GREEN has always been the color associated with
Forest Hills!!!
It will be a chance for the neighborhood to see history in
the making as the first annual PROCLAMATION, obtained by
FHNA from the City of Tampa is passed to the
Tampa Sports Authority in anticipation of celebrating
the true stature of Babe Zaharias's life and
achievements June 26th (her birthday) on an annual
basis . It is our first opportunity to start a
tradition and share her memory beyond the borders of our
neighborhood. It is time for every person and child
to remember her legacy and that she chose to make
Tampa her home.
And SURPRISE,.. the same evening THE NEW TAMPA ART
MUSEUM is coming to FOREST HILLS!!! Exhibition
viewing on
the over head screen just like last time. Wasn't that
fun! (We won't won't forget the popcorn this time.)
SO GET YOUR GREEN ON FOREST HILLS, TUESDAY MARCH 9th all
are welcome!!!!
Be sure to bring your best dish for our 6:30pm SOCIAL
and try to win our BEST CHEF contest!!! And
don't forget there will be door prizes so bring your pocket
money for the raffle. Everyone wins when we
participate in being good neighbors!
